When you look for tractors, you also find farms. Here are a few barns I was able to catch in my lens.
I wanted to get closer to this old farm in the image below, but a person was working around the property and a German Shepard was tied to a tree nearby. I just missed the mules that were there when we pulled into the Wendy's parking lot across the street. The geese weren't showing off, either. This property must be worth a lot of money, since it is in a thriving business district. New businesses are developed on the other three corners of the intersection, which is a major offramp from Highway 99. Costco is just down the street. They seem to be barely holding on to an old way of life.

All great looking barns Es, but can anyone really be living in that bottom one? They must be holding out for a better price.
Love the Hawkbill roof in the top ones Es! Wonderful attention to detail by you
Love the pictures Ester....wonderful captures.
Great barns - I love the roof on the first one and the last one is surely amazing in the middle of a developed area.
All the images are interesting especially the neglected property in the last shot that seems to tell a story of urbane growth.
wouldn't it be great if that farm in the development area would become some kind of historic site that sells apples or pumpkins or honey or what ever, etc. I've seen barns along highways do that. Fun places to stop
for got to mention I like the bird nests in the trees too
old barns are nice objects. Never seen shapes on the roof like those, I guess it's for some purpose?
I wish we had red barns in our area...these are all just so rustic and beautiful, but I am in love w/ that second red barn...the burst of color in that rural setting is perfect!
you are lucky to have so many different styles of barns to see!
I love the angle on the second shot. It really shows off a lot of the barn.
Great barn and farm photos...love the roof details. Sad to think that these sites are being swallowed up by new commercial areas. So expensive to keep up these huge farm buildings also besides the price of the land makes a sale amost inevitable.
One would never know this was not the midwest...down the street from COSTCO? In CALIFORNIA? Awesome!
